I help female entrepreneurs like you effortlessly feel put-together and confident, so they can make more money in their business.
Together we’re normalizing style as a tool for success and empowering other women to see what’s possible when you know your signature style and translate that into a closet full of go-to outfits.
If you’ve been following me for a while then you know one thing is true: I LOVE finding pieces that can maximize your wardrobe, and this cardigan is no exception.
I recently stopped into to Cleveland’s WKYC Channel 3 studios to share some Valentine’s Day outfit ideas. But before I hopped on the air, digital anchor, Stephanie Haney and I chatted about how to make a statement with inexpensive outfit ideas.
That’s wear this unique cardigan comes in. It’s made by a brand called Nic + Zoe which can be found on Zappos or Amazon and it was specifically designed to be worn multiple ways.
Look #1: Open
Your first option is to wear the cardigan as you normally would: down and open. While it has a similar construction of a typical “teacher” cardigan, you’ll like that it has a waterfall front to it (rather than a straight button down style), giving you the same look with a stylish twist.
Look #2: Wrap
You can also quickly transform the cardigan from open to a wrap. Even though this is a special feature of this particular cardigan, you can recreate this at home with a short, cascading front cardigan. All you need to DIY is to sew on two small buttons and make two small slits in the bottom of the cardigan front panels.
Look #3: Bolo
Additionally, you can also take those front panels and simply tie them in a knot, bolo style. The bolo style sweater was HUGE in the early 2000s- and who doesn’t like a throwback? (For more throwback looks, check out the 80’s trends that are back in style)
Look #4: Twisted Tie
The last way to wear this cardigan is super unique; I’ve never tried it before!
This is similar to a twisted tie look, which requires rolling either end of the front panels and then hooking them on to their respective buttons.
(Pro tip: If you like this or the bolo look, then I recommend sizing up because I did not have enough fabric to make these happen.)
It's been a fun journey from 10 year old "designer" to full-time entrepreneur and stylist. I'm now a wife to my hilarious and genius husband, Collin. A Mom to my two favorite boys, Jack (6 month old) and Henry (our furbaby). And proud to be back in Cleveland where we were both born and raised!
